Dr. Hinman came to West Covina in January of 2015. Under his leadership, the West Covina Unified School District has established the Dual Immersion Program at Monte Vista and Orangewood Elementary Schools. Cameron and Orangewood Elementary Schools are authorized as IB Primary Years Programme and Edgewood is in the process of authorization for IB Middle Years Programme; upon authorization, the District will become a K-12 IB Continuum.
The West Covina Unified School District is currently underway with a major renovation/expansion program as a result of voter approval of a Bond. Dr. Hinman’s talk will provide an update on that exciting program.
